What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate with various departments—such as Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance—to assess material and service requirements for shipyard projects.
  • Source and evaluate qualified suppliers for marine, industrial, and construction materials; negotiate competitive pricing and contract terms.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including the preparation of purchase orders, monitoring of deliveries, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders in line with project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of critical shipyard supplies and equipment; monitor stock levels to avoid disruptions to vessel repair, construction, or conversion operations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of procurement procedures aligned with shipyard operational needs and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare purchasing and cost reports for management review, including vendor performance analysis and project-based cost tracking.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline procurement operations, reduce lead times, and achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality or safety.

What we're looking for:

  • Graduate of any four-year Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering course (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement; experience in the shipyard, maritime, or heavy industrial sector is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • A team player with adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to supporting operational excellence in a dynamic shipyard environment.
