Senior Fabric Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fabric Data Engineer with a strong background in backend data engineering, specifically within the Microsoft ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about designing efficient, scalable, and secure data solutions using best practices in data pipeline architecture and orchestration workflows.

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for extracting data from diverse sources, building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and implementing orchestration frameworks that power enterprise-level analytics. You will also be expected to bring leadership to the team by mentoring junior engineers and contributing to solution design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and orchestration workflows using Microsoft Fabric tools.
  • Work across multiple data sources, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Implement real-time and batch data ingestion solutions using tools like Azure Event Hubs and Kafka.
  • Develop and maintain Lakehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure data solutions are secure, maintainable, and cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Architects, Analysts, and Software Engineers.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) – certification is required.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Spark/PySpark, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, especially Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, or Apache Iceberg.
  • Experience working with Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental data loading techniques.
  • Solid understanding of working with APIs and integrating third-party data sources.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with additional programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, or .NET.
  • Exposure to containerization and infrastructure as code tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Bicep, and Terraform.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to consult, mentor, and support the growth of junior engineers.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php Php600.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
