We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Platform Administrator (PowerBi) to manage, maintain, and optimize our business intelligence (BI) and data analytics platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring our Microsoft Power BI and Fabric environments are secure, scalable, and high performing. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in platform administration, cloud analytics tools, and data governance, along with a proactive and collaborative approach.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer the Microsoft Power BI platform, including service settings, workspaces, usage monitoring, and user access.
  • Manage components within Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Synapse Data Warehouse, and OneLake.
  • Support implementation of data governance policies and enforce workspace and dataset standards.
  • Maintain platform security via Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, and Azure Active Directory integration.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and cost using usage analytics and admin portals.
  • Assist in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Fabric solutions.
  • Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to support development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform and Fabric updates and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support internal users with platform-related issues, access requests, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience administering Power BI Service in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture and components.
  • Experience with Power BI Premium, dataflows, datasets, and deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration tasks.
  • Solid grasp of data governance, compliance, and security principles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Administrator Associate or similar.
  • Experience in large-scale BI platform governance and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in supporting self-service BI models across business units.
  • Background in enterprise data architecture or cloud data engineering is a plus.
