Azure Cloud Systems Engineer (AVD)

Location: Quezon City or BGC, Taguig

Work Setup: Onsite

Work Schedule: Graveyard shift / Flexible hours

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments while ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.

You'll collaborate with technical and operational teams to enhance infrastructure efficiency, automate tasks, and deliver a seamless virtual desktop experience for users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage AVD host pools, workspaces, and session hosts.
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize AVD images and scaling solutions.
  • Ensure secure system access through proper policies and procedures.
  • Manage and optimize user profiles using FSLogix.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AVD and application-related issues.
  • Configure and manage Azure IaaS, VNet, NSG, and firewall settings.
  • Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Diagnostics for performance monitoring.
  • Automate deployments and management tasks using Nerdio Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements.
  • Follow ITIL processes and use ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in virtualization technologies.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on Microsoft server/desktop administration in an enterprise setup.
  • Expertise in Active Directory, GPOs, PowerShell scripting, and Office 365.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud administration, networking, and security.
  • Experience with VDI security hardening and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Citrix or VMware Horizon (a plus).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php65,000.00 per month
