Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer

Location: Quezon City and BGC, Taguig

Work Setup: Onsite

Shift: Graveyard / Flexible

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing Azure Virtual Desktop environments, with hands-on expertise in Nerdio Manager and other Azure management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage AVD host pools, workspaces, and session hosts
  • Implement and maintain AVD images and scaling solutions
  • Ensure secure access through policies and procedures
  • Optimize user profiles and performance using FSLogix
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual desktops and applications
  • Configure and manage Azure IaaS, VNet, NSG, and firewall settings
  • Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Diagnostics for system monitoring
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency
  • Utilize Nerdio Manager for Enterprise for AVD optimization and automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements
  • Follow ITIL processes and work with tools like ServiceNow

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8 years of experience in virtualization technologies
  • 5–8 years in Microsoft server/desktop administration and Active Directory in multi-domain environments
  • (GPOs, JSON, PowerShell scripting, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, RDS, SQL)

  • Expertise in Windows 10/11, imaging, and Office 365

  • Strong understanding of Azure administration and cloud networking

  • Experience in patch management, deployment, data, and cost analytics
  • Familiarity with VDI security hardening and network connectivity to Azure

  • Experience with vendors such as Microsoft (primary), Citrix, and VMware Horizon (desirable)Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
