Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager

• Leads and oversees the Accounting Group, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements — including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Trial Balance, and detailed expense analysis.
• Supervises the recording and posting of accruals, amortizations, payroll entries, depreciation schedules, and other adjusting journal entries within the company's accounting software.
• Ensures compliance with internal accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Maintains and reviews the company's general ledger, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data.
• Reviews journal entries prepared by Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting teams to confirm the proper classification and posting of transactions.
• Monitors and validates inventory costing and movement, ensuring that stock counts, valuations, and issuances are properly reconciled and recorded.
• Supervises, trains, and develops accounting staff to strengthen technical competency, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold consistency and accuracy in all financial reports.
• Conducts regular reviews of staff work, provides feedback, and ensures compliance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Leads the year-end audit process, preparing audit schedules, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
• Oversees compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including tax filings, BIR submissions, and other government-mandated reports.
• Provides financial analysis and management reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborates with the VP for Finance on strategic initiatives and cost optimization projects.
• Ensures efficient collection and cash flow management, monitoring Accounts Receivable performance, collection efficiency, and credit control measures.
• Initiates and implements finance process improvement and automation projects aimed at strengthening internal controls, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
• Develops and updates the Financial Policies and Procedures Manual, ensuring clear documentation of accounting standards, approval hierarchies, and reporting guidelines.
• Monitors compliance and internal control effectiveness, reviewing financial processes and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure audit readiness.
• Participates in ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, systems enhancement, and management reviews.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the VP for Finance or senior management, consistent with the overall objectives of the department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
