The Accounts Payable (AP) Associate is responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial transactions. The role involves maintaining financial records, verifying expenses, and supporting the finance team in maintaining the organization's cash flow and accounting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and verify invoices and check requests.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Process payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and process expense reports.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing and payment inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
