An Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst is a key player in a company's finance team, making sure the business gets paid on time. They handle everything from sending out invoices to collecting money from customers who are late with their payments.

Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of a company's customer payments. This involves creating and sending invoices, recording payments, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure a healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Billing: Create and send out accurate invoices to customers promptly.
  • Payment Processing: Process and record all incoming customer payments.
  • Collections: Contact customers about late payments and work with them to resolve any issues.
  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed and accurate records of all transactions and customer accounts.
  • Reporting: Create reports for management showing who owes the company money and for how long.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a billing or accounting role.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with accounting software (like QuickBooks or SAP) and a strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to deal with customers and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail to ensure all numbers and records are correct.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to find solutions for payment disputes and other issues.
