Job Description:
FCRM International Trading facilitates trade between Africa and Asia, specializing in key commodities. Our Manila office in Caloocan handles crucial logistics and documentation. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Logistics & Documentation Assistant to support our operations. This role is perfect for someone interested in international trade, who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process international shipping and trade documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and local agents to track shipments and ensure timely clearance.
- Encode and maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and client information in our database.
- Assist in communicating with suppliers and clients regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
- Support the operations manager with basic reporting, data analysis, and compliance checks.
- Handle general office administration related to the logistics workflow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
- Ability to learn complex procedures and handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Proactive, resourceful, and a strong team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export documentation, or a similar administrative role.
- Basic understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms) and shipping processes.
- Experience with any logistics or CRM software.
