Job Description:

  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast demand for products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively plan and manage inventory levels based on demand forecasts.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate market intelligence and business forecasts into demand plans.
  • Manage finished goods and raw material inventory to be at optimum level to ensure that customer demands are met.
  • Provides master production schedule and communicates the same production to ensure resource support.
  • Manages support to new product and promo launches.
  • Analyzes demand signals and shipment trends to make the necessary plan adjustments,
  • Identifies and communicates risks associated to demand and supply imbalance, new product launch, service, inventory and cost through Product Supply and Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Leads discussion on Service and Inventory improvement initiatives (eg. FG, RM/PM buffer strategies, ABC planning)
  • Ensures timely and availability of raw and packaging materials to prevent production delays. Reviews and approves requisitions of materials from Material Planners.
  • Reviews the company's inventory management strategy with the aim of balancing high service levels while controlling costs, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital.
  • Analyzes inventory situation and recommend business model and parameter settings to achieve desired inventory level.
  • Works with demand planning and marketing in identifying slow moving products and plan for exit while managing inventory obsolescence.
  • Develops his/her people through coaching and mentoring.
  • Recommends personnel training to increase learning and performance efficiency.
  • Implements fair and objective evaluation of personnel performance based on measurable parameters.
  • Implementation of programs for engagement, motivation and discipline.
  • Adherence to company of Code of Ethics
  • Ensures proper and timely documentation of planning process and strategies.
  • Ensures all personnel under his supervision to maintain an orderly and systematic records keeping procedures, ensuring confidently of all standards and company records.

Qualifications:

Education: A degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Food Technology, or any Business-related course.

Experience: At least five (5) years experience in supply planning, inventory management and demand forecasting, preferably in commissary or supply chain of a food industry of FMCG. At least 3 years supervisory experience.

Training/License/Certification: Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) is a plus. Experience with implementing supply chain management initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge in all aspects of production planning, material and inventory management, planning and inventory control and warehousing.
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge in any supply chain system desired (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
