About The Role

We are seeking a Payroll Officer with primary responsibilities in Payroll, Timesheet Attendance and Leave administration. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and experience while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team.

The role has a primary responsibility covering our Philippine workforce of approximately 500 employees.

The role also includes an opportunity (and requirement) to cover the Payroll, Timesheet Attendance and Leave administration for our Singapore employees (3 employees), Australia employees (5 employees) and our international contractors (4 employees). For these overseas employees (totalling approximately 12), there will be significant support, training and onboarding and previous payroll experience in these countries is NOT required.

Reporting Line

This role reports directly to the CFO based in Manila and is part of a 5 employee Finance and HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll:

  • Bi-monthly and all one off payroll

  • Time based pay adjustments
  • Pay deductions
  • Loan adjustments
  • Bonus payments
  • Benefit encashment payments
  • 13th month administration
  • New starter and Final pays

  • Associated Payroll duties:

  • Payroll banking support and setups

  • Employee payroll account enrolment
  • Payslip issue
  • Payroll reporting and analysis
  • Government filing and reporting

  • All calculations, preparation and form completions

  • All preparation and filing of Tax matters to BIR
  • All preparation and filing of DOLE matters
  • All preparation and filing to SSS, Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth
  • All associated banking support and setup
  • Loans, Benefits and Special Leaves

  • All administration of employee government loans

  • All administration of statutory benefits and company benefits

    • This includes HMO support and duties
    • All administration of Special Leaves such as Maternity, Paternity and other leaves
    • Annual Payroll duties
  • 13th month

  • Annualization and Alphalist
  • Annual Tax administration
  • Perform daily timesheet administration and review; and all associated reporting and duties
  • Perform daily regular leave administration (Paid Annual and Sick Leave); and all associated reporting and duties
  • Management of Holiday calendar and announcements
  • Support and participation in the development of processes, methods, templates and policies pertaining to Payroll, Timesheet Attendance and Leave

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in Philippine payroll administration.
  • A suitable amount of experience as a user of Payroll systems (Payroll applications and software)
  • Very good desktop skills including Email correspondence, File management, Word and Excel
  • Very strong key abilities: Attention to detail, calculations, reporting, record keeping
  • Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to contribute to process, method, templates and policies
