Job Description

As a
Frontend Lead Engineer,
you will lead the development of scalable and high-performing frontend solutions using , composable ecommerce platforms, and headless CMS technologies. You'll manage a collaborative frontend team and ensure seamless integrations that drive a world-class user experience.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• At least 1 year of lead/management experience
• Proven experience with headless CMS (e.g., , Contentful, Sanity)
• Proficiency in
  ,
  and modern frontend technologies like
  JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Tailwind, and CSS
• Experience with
  headless commerce platforms
  (e.g., commercetools, BigCommerce, Shopify Plus)
• Expertise in
  RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of responsive design, design systems, and performance optimization
• Advanced understanding of
  caching, CDNs, ISR, SSR, SSG, web vitals, and SEO
• Familiarity with
  Git and CI/CD workflows

Preferred Skills

• Ecommerce implementation or digital transformation experience in retail, wholesale, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Vercel
• Understanding of analytics tools and SEO/accessibility best practices

our Daily Tasks

Frontend Development:

• Lead the development of responsive, high-performance web applications using
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into pixel-perfect, interactive user interfaces.
• Ensure consistency and compatibility across devices and browsers.
• Optimise frontend performance to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.

Ecommerce Platform Integration:

• Integrate with commercetools to build seamless shopping experiences.
• Develop and maintain templates for product listings, cart, checkout, and order management pages.
• Ensure data synchronisation between the frontend and ecommerce platform using RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

Headless CMS Integration:

• Implement and configure to deliver dynamic content.
• Build reusable content components and scalable content models for marketing campaigns, landing pages, and product information.
• Optimise content delivery for performance and SEO best practices.

Team Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Review and maintain high standards for code quality, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with backend developers and external vendors to align on technical solutions and integration points.
• Work with distributed cross-functional Agile teams, both on-shore and off-shore

API Management:

• Design and manage API integrations between frontend, CMS, and ecommerce platforms.
• Ensure secure and efficient data exchanges, implementing proper authentication and authorisation mechanisms.

Testing & Documentation:

• Conduct thorough testing of all systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during development and post-launch.
• Document technical solutions, including API specs, integration workflows, and component structures.
