Framework Strategy & Governance

  • Architect and evolve a shared React component library, build system, and style guide.
  • Define coding standards, folder structures, and release/versioning processes to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Research & Innovation

  • Research emerging React patterns, libraries, and best practices to improve organizational code quality.
  • Evaluate and benchmark new tools and technologies to enhance the frontend ecosystem.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept implementations to validate new technical solutions.
  • Analyze existing code patterns to identify opportunities for optimization and standardization.

Performance & Quality

  • Optimize bundle size, code-splitting, and rendering performance.
  • Implement and enforce linting, testing (Jest, React Testing Library), and CI/CD pipelines.

Documentation, Knowledge Management & Mentorship

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the component library and standards.
  • Document architectural decisions and provide clear rationale for future reference.
  • Build a knowledge base of React best practices tailored to the organization.
  • Mentor frontend engineers and host regular guild sessions to align practices and share insights.

Collaboration & Evangelism

  • Partner with backend teams to design APIs that support robust UI development.
  • Champion framework adoption across product teams, gather feedback, and iterate.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in and modern frontend development.
  • Proven ability to architect scalable component libraries and frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience mentoring and leading engineering practices.
  • Passion for innovation, knowledge sharing, and driving alignment across teams.
