Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a talented, passionate, and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist with strong SEO and SEM experience to join our growing Marketing team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to drive demand generation, attract, engage, and convert prospects into qualified leads. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, on-page and off-page optimization techniques, keyword research, and content strategy. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess a proven track record of improving organic search rankings and driving traffic. They will work closely with our Web Developer/Web Designer to execute campaigns and drive lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve organic search visibility, rankings, and website traffic. This includes:
○ Conducting thorough keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to identify new opportunities for organic search growth.
○ Performing regular technical SEO audits of our website(s) to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexability, site speed, mobile-friendliness, and structured data.
○ Working with the Web Developer to optimize website content, title tags, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, and other technical SEO elements to improve search engine rankings.
○ Developing and executing link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites.
○ Working closely with other marketing team members, web developers, and product teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all content development and SEO efforts align with business goals.
○ Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on SEO performance, including traffic, rankings, conversions, using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
○ Staying up-to-date with SEO best practices and algorithm changes.
● Lead and manage all Search Engine Marketing (SEM) activities, including preparing, executing, monitoring, and improving all online lead-generation strategies and campaigns. This includes:
○ Creating, managing and optimizing, on a daily basis, all paid search campaigns across
platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Microsoft Ads.
○ Conducting A/B testing on ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies to maximize
ROI.
○ Monitoring and reporting on paid search performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
○ Managing budgets and adjusting campaigns to ensure they are achieving desired
performance targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
● 3+ years of proven experience as a Digital Marketing, SEO, or SEM Specialist
● Extensive experience and proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Hotjar, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
● Strong understanding of technical SEO elements (e.g., sitemaps, , schema markup, Core Web Vitals).
● In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
● Experience with keyword research, link building, and content optimization.
● Demonstrated experience executing and managing multi-platform SEM campaigns within a B2B sales environment (including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedInAds)
● Experience with marketing automation platforms such as ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, Hootsuite and HubSpot
● Knowledge of and practical experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini to augment, enhance, or improve deliverables
● Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
● Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with international SEO.
● Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
● Experience in the technology or IT services industry is a plus.
● Google Analytics and Google Search Console certifications.
● Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus
