Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create artwork documents for consumer goods according to customer, legal and safety as well as quality requirements in English (hard copies, digital and video scrips).
• Proofread artwork documents for consumer goods in English.
• Check and describe product(s) in regard to looks and functions in created artwork documents (using samples, videos and/or photos).
• Review product illustrations based on actual product(s) (using samples, videos and/or photos).
• Create artwork documents based on internal and client quality requirements.
• Communicate with Design Team and Co-ordination Team on artwork matters.
• Coordinate, handle and follow-up of multiple projects, including, but not limited to, documenting project status and communicating with relevant parties.
• Assist in / handle creating, maintaining and reviewing internal team / company guidelines.
• Assist in / handle creating checklists and training documents.
• Assist in / create solutions to increase efficiency (find / report issues, suggest workflow improvements).
• Review and extract information and requirements from reports and standards.
• Support Quality Control Team with quality control activities as needed.
• Touch-up product drawings based on actual product(s).
• Edit and review artwork files within the team for correctness and consistency.
• Adhere to strict lead times· Handle general everyday tasks and internal project emails.
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years experience as a technical writer.
• University degree in Translation, Technical Writing, Technical Studies, Communication or related fields.
• Basic MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• English at native level (spoken and written) - other languages: German is a must at native level.
• Ability to explain "how do things work" in a clear and simple way.
• Detail-minded and proactive in doing research.
• Logical thinking and analytical mind are a must.
• Highly organized with good coordination skills.

Desired:

• German native level.
• Basic knowledge in using Adobe Suite (INDD, AI, Acrobat) or similar.
• Familiarity with U.S. English.
• Knowledge of technical documentation, standards, and directives.
• Technical / engineering background.
• Knowledge / experience with electrical appliances.
• Testing Inspection Certification (TIC) industry / Retail industry experience.
