IT Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
1.Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
2.User Training:
- Conduct training sessions to educate users on basic IT procedures and best practices.
- Create user manuals and documentation to assist with problem resolution and usage.
3.Network Management:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
4.System Administration:
- Administer and maintain servers, including managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
5.Hardware and Software Management:
- Coordinate the procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software resources.
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
6.Data Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and maintain data backup strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
7.Cybersecurity:
- Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard information and systems.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
8.Collaboration:
- Work with other IT professionals and departments to implement IT projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and software applications.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with end-users and team members.
- Ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve IT issues efficiently
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
