THE COMPANY

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy developer with a strong presence across Southeast Asia. As part of their expansion in the Philippines, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to lead local finance operations reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on position for a seasoned finance professional to lead the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations in the Philippines. You will manage day-to-day financial activities, ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements, and collaborate closely with regional teams across Southeast Asia. You'll act as a finance business partner to cross-functional teams while building local processes and controls to support a fast-scaling business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead monthly and annual closing processes with accurate and timely reporting aligned to group standards
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, banking, and cash flow
  • Ensure full compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, corporate tax, BIR filings, etc.)
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and government agencies
  • Partner with internal teams across operations, HR, legal, and project management
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with regional stakeholders
  • Implement financial controls and local processes that align with group-wide policies
  • Support other finance and tax-related matters as the business continues to scale

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified CPA / CA / CMA or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in finance leadership, preferably within a multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and statutory compliance
  • Proficient in IFRS and accounting systems (NetSuite is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and coordinate with regional and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in audit or renewable energy is advantageous
