Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer – L2 Support to join our IT team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in network operations, solid knowledge of server environments, and practical exposure to Cisco or other networking technologies. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving network and server infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 network support for LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents escalated from L1 support
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco and other networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Support and maintain server environments (Windows/Linux)
  • Perform network performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
  • Assist in network upgrades, deployments, and documentation
  • Ensure network security, availability, and reliability
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams when needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in Network Support or Network Engineering (L2)
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco or equivalent networking technologies
  • Broad knowledge of servers (Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, virtualization is a plus)
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and basic network security
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network and server issues
  • Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in monitoring tools and ITSM systems
