Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Testing & Reporting:

  • Perform comprehensive product security testing, including black-box reverse engineering of hardware and firmware.

  • Conduct vulnerability research and exploit development.
  • Lead fuzz testing initiatives and protocol reverse engineering efforts.

  • Penetration Testing:

  • Conduct manual penetration testing on mobile applications (iOS/Android), web applications, cloud infrastructure, and network systems.

  • Collaboration & Threat Modeling:

  • Facilitate and lead threat modeling sessions with application, infrastructure, and product teams.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, mitigate, and prevent security risks.

  • Security Training & Outreach:

  • Provide internal security training and outreach programs to development teams, ensuring awareness of security best practices.

  • Security Analysis of ICS/OT Environments:

  • Conduct security analysis of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) environments used in product manufacturing.

  • Supply Chain Security:

  • Evaluate and analyze security risks associated with hardware and software supply chains.

  • Documentation & Metrics:

  • Maintain detailed documentation and provide metrics on the services and effectiveness of the product security program.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: embedded systems and IoT security, red teaming, penetration testing.
  • Experience in conducting security testing of embedded hardware, including working with debug interfaces (UART, JTAG, SWD) and peripheral buses (SPI, I2C).
  • Proficient in binary reverse engineering for ARM, MIPS, and PowerPC firmware using tools like IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra.
  • Hands-on experience planning and executing Red Team exercises to identify weaknesses and simulate real-world attacks.
  • Expertise in fuzz testing of industrial communication protocols, including Wi-Fi/BLE/Wireless HART/PROFINET/MODBUS/Ethernet IP/OPC UA.
  • Solid understanding of secure libraries and concepts, including bootloaders and firmware security.
  • Proficient in embedded Linux and familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Strong understanding of network, web, IoT, and industrial protocols such as TCP/UDP, HTTPS, MQTTS, CoAP, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, OPC-UA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen sense of ownership and drive.
