About project:

We are looking for a Platform Engineer for our international client, a global leader in cloud‑native software solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry. Their mission is to empower insurers to deliver faster, smarter, and more personalized customer experiences through a low‑code, configurable SaaS platform.

Responsibilities:

• As a Platform Engineer you will be designing, coding, and configuring solutions for moderately complex Agile stories with minimal supervision, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with architectural principles;
• You will be developing conceptual designs and architecture for small-scale software solutions, collaborating closely with architects or senior engineers to validate design decisions and technical feasibility;
• You will be providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth by sharing best practices, reviewing their work, and encouraging technical excellence;
• You will be leading technical discussions within the team and conducting detailed code reviews, ensuring clean, efficient, and maintainable solutions are delivered in line with standards;
• You will be contributing to the development of a microservices platform running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), focusing on scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency;
• You will be assisting in and independently performing complex source code management tasks, including branching strategies, version control workflows, and CI/CD integration;
• You will be debugging and resolving moderately complex software issues, identifying root causes, and delivering effective solutions that prevent regressions and maintain system stability;
• You will be writing and maintaining automated unit and integration-level tests, ensuring high code coverage and reliable deployments across multiple environments;
• You will be enforcing development standards, ensuring the delivery of maintainable, testable, and production-ready code;
• You will be working with Cosmos DB and applying domain-driven design principles within distributed, event-based systems, with hands-on implementation of CQRS and event sourcing patterns in production environments.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of total professional experience in software development, with a consistent track record of delivering impactful solutions;
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in building platforms or microservices within complex enterprise environments;
• 4+ years of experience with product and domain knowledge, actively shaping technical decisions and solution strategies;
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical direction to development teams;
• 2+ years of practical experience with TypeScript and , building scalable backend applications;
• Proven track record of driving projects to completion, balancing timelines, quality, and stakeholder requirements;
• Strong hands-on background in building and deploying microservices, including monitoring and performance optimization;
• Expertise with Kubernetes, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployment, scaling, and operational tasks;
• Deep knowledge of microservices design and event-driven architectures, with practical experience implementing CQRS and event sourcing in production-grade systems;
• Experience working with Azure Cosmos DB or similar distributed NoSQL databases;
• Solid understanding of the Agile software product development lifecycle, with experience working across planning, development, testing, and release;
• Excellent communication skills with conversational-level English, enabling effective interaction with international teams;
• Flexibility to work during night hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (local time).

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code tools;
• Practical exposure to cloud operations in Azure, including monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting;
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, such as custom resource definitions (CRDs), operators, and service meshes.

We offer:

• Salary for work amounting to 190,000 – 230,000 PHP;
• ₱3,600 monthly de minimis non-taxable allowance;
