We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Engineer with Estimating knowledge for our Australian client the role is 100% Home-Based from anywhere in The Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits like HMO.

A rare opportunity like this doesn't present itself often Our client, based in Australia is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer Estimator and is open to Philippine or previous Australian experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in helping with upcoming tenders. You will report directly to the Estimating Manager based in Australia and will be an extension of their team.

Our Client

Our client is a specialist Tier One commercial Audio Visual contractor who works on large Tier One commercial projects in Melbourne, Australia. They were set up over 30 years ago, and have grown to be one of Australia's largest AV and electrical contractors who now employ over 400 people have offices in Australia and New Zealand and are still family owned. They work with Australia's biggest and best builders on large commercial projects including Hospitals, Apartments, Hotels, and student accommodation. Where they deliver full electrical packages.

The Opportunity:

The Key objectives of the Audio Visual Engineer Estimator is to support the pre construction team and help win projects. This will be mainly focused on Estimating and AV Design including, Vendor & Supplier Coordination, Client & Stakeholder Interaction, Risk Assessment & Value Engineering.

Accountabilities will include:

• Review project documentation (drawings, specifications, scope of works, and RFPs) to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Analyse labour, materials, and equipment requirements for AV installations.
• Use estimation software and tools (e.g., D-Tools & Excel) to prepare structured and accurate BOMs and quotes.
• Proficiency in D-Tools software is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Engage with internal teams to ensure estimates reflect the full scope of works.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Obtain pricing from manufacturers and suppliers for AV hardware, infrastructure materials, and services.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to ensure access to competitive pricing and up-to-date product information.
• Maintain and update a database of current pricing and vendor terms.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction

• Participate in client meetings, site inspections, and clarification sessions to define scope and understand project expectations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key clients such as builders.

Risk Assessment & Value Engineering

• Highlight scope gaps, exclusions, and assumptions in estimates.
• Identify cost risks and propose value engineering options to remain within client budgets.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Similar
• Must have previously worked in a Audio Visual Engineer Estimator role working on large scale commercial projects for at least 5 years.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as an Audio Visual Engineer Estimator is required.

Coupled with In depth knowledge of various Audio Visual technologies including:

Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in most areas of Audio Visual technologies listed below.

• Display & Presentation Systems including Flat panel displays, projectors, projection screens, interactive touchscreens, video walls (LCD/LED), digital whiteboards, kiosks.
• Audio Systems including Speakers (ceiling/wall), amplifiers, DSPs, microphones (gooseneck, handheld, lapel), background music systems, assistive listening systems, PA systems.
• Video Conferencing & Collaboration including VC codecs, PTZ cameras, collaboration bars, Teams/Zoom Rooms, content sharing devices (e.g. ClickShare), scheduling panels, USB AV peripherals.
• Signal Management & Distribution including AV over IP systems, matrix switchers, extenders (HDBaseT), signal converters/scalers, structured cabling, patch panels, control interfaces.

• Control & Automation Systems including Touch panels, AV control processors, room scheduling, occupancy sensors, lighting/blind control, environmental automation.

• Digital Signage & Content Delivery includingMedia players, content management systems (CMS), video wall controllers, signage displays, wayfinding solutions.

• Infrastructure & Support Hardware Including Equipment racks, power distribution units (PDUs), UPS systems, mounting hardware, ventilation, cable management, termination hardware.
