The Tax Audit Officer – is responsible for conducting tax-related audits and ensuring the organization's compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. This role involves reviewing financial records, preparing audit reports, identifying potential tax risks, and recommending improvements to internal processes. The Audit Officer works closely with the finance and accounting teams to verify the accuracy of tax filings and support external audit requirements. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations, attention to detail, and solid analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in audit, with a strong focus on tax compliance and reporting
- Solid understanding of local tax laws and regulations (e.g., BIR rules, VAT, income tax)
- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and audit reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with accounting systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines
