Tax Filing and Regulatory Submissions

  • Review and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Taxes).
  • Oversee the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation for tax filings.
  • Prepare and file Tax Treaty Relief Applications and Transfer Pricing Documentation.
  • Provide support for external audit and SEC submissions related to tax matters.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.

Tax Compliance Review and Improvement Projects

  • Provide monthly funding requirements and propose adjustments related to tax obligations.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual tax compliance reviews to ensure accuracy, identify risks and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather data and ensure alignment with tax reporting needs.
  • Support process optimizations and automation initiatives, including enhancements to SAP Tax Functions and other tax systems.

Tax Audit Support and Coordination

  • Assist in handling BIR and BOC audits, including organizing responses to LOAs, Notices, and other correspondences, and coordination with examiners/auditors.
  • Handle submission of requested documents, reconciliation of audit findings and assessments, drafting of reply/protest letters, and preparation of supporting documents.
  • Maintain a comprehensive audit trail and organized records for all tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (required)
  2. Certification:
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – preferred but not required
  3. Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in taxation, including compliance and audit handling

  4. Skills:

  5. Solid understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations

  6. Strong analytical and organizational skills
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus
  8. Effective communication and coordination skills
