We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented 
General Ledger Accountant
 to manage financial reporting, statutory compliance, and process improvements across assigned business units. The role ensures accurate financial data, timely filings, and strong adherence to company and regulatory standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Reviews, verifies, and approves posting of all financial transactions under MSGP / MS Dynamics.
  • Reviews cash position reports and prepares financial schedules and statement analyses.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reporting packages required by the OCFO.
  • Prepares monthly and annual operating budgets for assigned MCs in coordination with department heads.
  • Monitors financial performance of assigned MCs against budget.
  • Ensures completeness of cash and liquidation reports from the petty cash custodian.
  • Prepares bank reconciliations.

Risk Management and Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare or review statutory reports required by:

BIR: Tax Returns: Income Tax, VAT, EWT, Withholding Taxes, Final Withholding Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax & Information Returns

LGUs: Local Business Tax, Mayor's Permit, Real Property Tax

SEC: Audited Financial Statements and other required submissions

  • Ensure all statutory filings and submissions are accurate and on time.
  • Approve fund transfers via EFPS Payment Facility.

Data and Process Management

  • Ensures proper maintenance and organization of departmental documents.
  • Recommends improvements, process innovations, and system enhancements.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of technology resources used by MCs and applies them to deliver high-value business solutions.

Strategic Management and Planning

  • Actively participates in the annual Business Planning process.
  • Represents the Team during Management Committee meetings when required or in the absence of the Chief Accountant.

Corporate Compliance Responsibilities

  • Adheres to organizational policies and the code of discipline.
  • Continuously develops professional skills by participating in relevant training and development programs.
  • Ensures personal and professional information is always updated in the company's information system.
  • Stays updated on all company policies and guidelines.
  • Actively participates in company-wide and group-wide events and CSR initiatives.
  • Maximizes the potential of direct reports and ensures efficient use of company resources.
