JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.

  • Set up station according to outlet guidelines.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef at any time.

  • Actively supports hygiene and HACC programs by following Solaire IFSS standards.

  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.

  • Comply with Solaire's Integrated Food Safety System, Fire Safety and Occupational Safety requirements

  • Take necessary steps as needed to ensure safety protocols are followed and implemented while on duty.

    Function 1

  • Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.

  • Ensure that all ingredients prepared to the highest standards, following recipes and presentation guideline.

  • Producing food according to established Solaire Integrated Food Safety System standards.

    Function 2

  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.

  • Report any equipment in need of repair to chef and engineering for service.

  • Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with health department regulations.

  • Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality.

    Function 3

  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.

  • Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of culinary experience with an internationally recognized luxury hotel chain or food & beverage establishment.


• Certificate in culinary or equivalent.


• Able to communicate effectively in English.


• Willing to work in shifting schedules.
