About the role

KCJ CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Sucat, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. As a full-time Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and site workers on construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance on construction sites
  • Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Providing training and guidance to site personnel on safe work practices, the use of personal protective equipment, and emergency response procedures
  • Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommending corrective actions
  • Maintaining comprehensive safety records and documentation
  • Collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) or equivalent safety certification is preferred
  • Willingness to work on construction sites and in a fast-paced environment
