Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical Financial Market applications. You will oversee end-to-end DevOps operations — from incident management and system monitoring to automation and performance optimization — ensuring seamless delivery across production environments.

In this senior capacity, you will lead initiatives that drive operational excellence, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain stable and resilient systems. You will also be instrumental in leveraging Artificial Intelligence and automation tools to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and continuously improve DevOps workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of production environments, including incident response, change management, and service requests using ITSM frameworks and tools.
• Drive system reliability and performance optimization, ensuring continuous availability of key applications.
• Oversee production job monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to automate deployment pipelines and streamline release management.
• Design, develop, and test automation scripts and tools using SSIS, SQL Server, C#, and Control-M.
• Utilize AI-driven insights and predictive analytics to improve DevOps productivity and incident prevention.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native practices.
• Mentor junior engineers, establish best practices, and participate in operational process design and rollout.
• Communicate effectively with global stakeholders, providing technical updates and reports on system health and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, ITSM, or production support for complex enterprise systems.
• Strong command of ITSM tools (e.g., Helix, ServiceNow) and ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
• Proven expertise in DevOps automation, root cause analysis, and application performance tuning.
• Advanced working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Big Data tools (Spark, Presto, Airflow).
• Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and Linux administration, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M, SSIS, and C# for system integration and automation tasks.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and drive process improvements.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
• Willing to work on a night shift and rotational schedule to support global operations.
