We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will be heading project cost estimations, checking and verifying of price quotations, and guiding the team in terms of the most up-to-date market prices, industry trends, and cost-saving practices. If you have a solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and has experience with contractor management, you may be a good candidate for this role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares detailed and verified cost estimates, bill of materials (BOM), and bill of quantities (BOQ) for design and construction plans & projects which includes manpower, machine, materials, overhead costs, among others.
  • Obtains, checks, and verifies price quotations from suppliers/contractors against the latest market/industry prices.
  • Conducts supplier sourcing, research, and reference checks to create computations for BOM and BOQ and overall project costs.
  • Provides consult to stakeholders to ensure that all projects are cost-effective.
  • Ensures that quality materials are sourced and used for the projects according to approved budgets.
  • Conducts reconciliation meetings with contractors in order to align project billings.
  • Negotiates supplier/contractor-issued quotations.
  • Ensures that allocated project budgets are monitored and controlled.
  • Verifies change orders/variation orders and their entailed costs.
  • Reviews contracts and maintains professional working partnerships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Provides regular updates to stakeholders regarding project budget utilization & timelines.
  • Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the immediate head.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Engineer
  • With at least 5 years of experience as a quantity surveyor
  • Has experience in using any project management tools
  • Has technical working knowledge on construction project management and MEPFS
  • Up-to-date with the industry trends on construction materials' brand and prices
  • Has excellent verbal and written communications skills
