CIVIL ENGINEER (CONTRACT OF SERVICE)

PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT:

Philippine Veterans Affairs Office Compound, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Eligibility: RA 1080 (Licensed Engineer)

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in design and build modality for office and/or memorial structures; knowledge/experience in designing structures with historical significance would be an advantage

Training: 2 hours or relevant training

Skills/Competencies:

• Computer aided design software such as Autocad
• Computer aided software for construction estimates
• MS Office softwares
• Written/Oral Communication Skills
• Can work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate integrity

JOB DESCRIPTION/FUNCTIONS

• Provide clerical and logistical support for the development section, field investigations, and documentation of military heritage sites.
• Prepare conceptual and shop drawings or construction and implementation. Preparation of Engineering Plans Structural layout and structural analysis and computation.
• Conduct site inspection of PVAO facilities, PVAO military shrines and other infra projects as necessary.
• Assist the Head Architect and Head Engineer in the review, evaluation, and in preparation of documents such as Scope of Work, Bill of Quantities, Cost Estimate, Plans and Design of the project proposal.
• Assist the Head Architect and Head Engineer to maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress and coordination with end users.
• Assist the Head Architect and Head Engineer to prepare project status reports by collecting and summarizing information available.
• Drafting of memoranda, letters, and documents needed in the development section.
• Prepare weekly accomplishment report of on-going infra projects; and
• Perform other duties as directed.
