Alibata Limited - Philippine Branch is looking for a Material Resource Planner who will be responsible for scheduling and forecasting the right volume of materials, goods and/or products inbound to the business from its Principals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates plans, forecasts and schedules relating to materials require to meet operational requirements.
  • Liaises with stakeholders as and when required.
  • Undertakes detailed and comprehensive analysis on material costs and identify opportunities for bulk discounts or cost savings from suppliers.
  • Makes recommendations based on findings and analysis.
  • Reviews ways to save money and maintain consistency in material quality.
  • Monitors variances and recommend process improvements.
  • Participates in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes.
  • Monitors data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required.
  • Reviews data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluates usage and cost of materials in relation to actual build.
  • Monitors inventory levels against agreed target levels.
  • Track inventory trends carry out routine inventory control audits and support inventory checks to validate accuracy.
  • Creates supplier metrics, issues and maintains performance metrics in order to optimize service levels.
  • Utilizes knowledge and research methods to benchmark materials planning activities and to drive best practices results.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate any 4 year course.
  • At least 5-10 years experience in the related field.
  • Relevant industry experience either in material planning, logistics or supply chain ideally in the manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of a variety of FMCG or general manufacturing processes and components and good understanding of supply chain management.
  • Professional accreditation with an industry related body is a plus.
  • Proven IT systems knowledge and skills including advance Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of using SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of statistics, forecasting and management information methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of lean techniques is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, supported by strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
