Job Summary

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/PFRS), and effective internal controls. This role provides strategic financial leadership, supervises accounting and finance teams, manages audits, and supports executive management in decision-making. The Comptroller also plays a critical role in budgeting, treasury management, and financial planning to ensure organizational sustainability and growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations including AR/AP, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS/PFRS.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Supervise internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance (BIR, SEC, and other government agencies).
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and financial resources effectively.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure readiness for compliance reviews.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop accounting and finance staff to strengthen departmental capacity.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CMA, CFA, or CIA preferred.

Work Experience

  • At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior finance or leadership role.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Experience handling audits and regulatory requirements (BIR, SEC, IFRS, PFRS).

Technical Competencies

  • Expertise in financial management, treasury, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge in internal controls, risk management, and tax compliance.
  • Skilled in financial analysis and strategic planning.
