The Role

We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to step into the role of Controller, Shared Services. This critical position is the sole leader and owner of the organization's Shared Services accounting function.

You will be responsible for leading and optimizing all core shared services activities, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. This role ensures the entire shared service center operates efficiently, delivers timely and accurate financial statements, and maintains adherence to U.S. GAAP and global internal control standards.

Your primary mandate is to manage the engine that ensures financial standardization and operational integrity across all entities supported by the Shared Service Center.

Key Responsibilities

A. Shared Services Management & Leadership

• Own and lead all day-to-day shared services accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the staff accountant team.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, focusing on high performance and collaborative service delivery to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet service level agreements (SLAs), quality, and efficiency targets for the Shared Services function.

B. Financial Reporting, Compliance, & Process Standardization

• Lead and manage the month-end close process for the Philippines entity and the supported business units, ensuring adherence to corporate deadlines.
• Thoroughly review reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Ensure all financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and implement standardized processes and automation within the Shared Services framework.
• Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard company assets across the shared environment.
• Support the annual external audit process for the entities supported by the Shared Service Center.

Essential Requirements

• Philippine Residency: Must be a current resident and fully able to work on-site in Makati, Metro Manila on a hybrid schedule.
• Shift Commitment: Demonstrated ability to commit to the Night Shift schedule, aligning with U.S. business hours.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Licensure: Must possess a valid CPA license.

Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive experience as a Controller or a similar senior financial leadership role, with proven, direct experience managing a Shared Services or Multi-Entity accounting function. Experience with a U.S.-based company is a significant advantage.
• Expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
