Job description:

  • Handles, lifts and moves shipment by using jack lift during acceptance of cargo and weighing and transfer to x-ray area for screening.
  • Conducts 360 physical inspection and informs immediate superior of detected discrepancy and damages in cargo for proper escalation and disposition
  • Builds-up cargo to container or ULD and secures cargo according to airline instructions,
  • Assists in ULD serviceability checks using applicable forms and report to immediate superior the detected discrepancy.
  • Verify the accuracy of cargo pieces against documents during build-up.

Import/Inbound

  • Performs break bulking by sorting packages from containers according to MAWB/HAWB, classification, point of destination etc.
  • Conducts 360 physical cargo inspection during handling and break-down
  • Organize cargo storage by properly identifying, stacking and storing shipments in assigned locations to avoid damage or loss and ensure easy retrieval of shipments.
  • Locate cargoes in the assigned location based on the cargo location ticket.
  • Assists inventory by making sure that cargoes are identified, counted, checked as documented.
  • Assists ULD serviceability checks.

Integrated management

  • Promote the use of process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Reports hazards or security issues observed that may affect the operations.
  • Observe and implement ergonomics in Cargo Handling.
  • Complies to documented procedures: ISO, RA3 and ISAGO

Other Functions

  • Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
