Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Planning & Inventory Manager, this position is responsible for planning, directing and controlling all warehouse management functions for raw materials, packaging materials, and store room items in order to ensure the most efficient & cost-effective flow of materials and products from production or delivery to storage of these items.

This position is also responsible in maintaining strategic partnership with Third-Party Warehouse Service Providers to ensure that agreed service levels in relation to finished goods inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction are met.

Job Scope

A. General Duties and Responsibilities

• Establishes and effectively implements (upon approval) procedures, policies, standards, changes, and process improvements in the department and with the service providers.
• Ensures operational procedures and practices are well defined, documented and consistently applied within the department & by the service providers.
• Works proactively and closely with the concerned department heads to address problems, identify potential problems and opportunities and develop necessary preventive and corrective actions and ensures optimized implementation and cascade of any plans and programs as required.
• Generates timely reports and presentations which are considered relevant in analyzing Green Cross, Inc.'s (GCI's) warehouse operations performance as a whole.
• Analyses statistics and key management information related to warehouse operations to ensure a more efficient & effective process.
• Keeps oneself ahead of developments & trends in warehouse operations & benchmarks with industry and works with service providers to implement improvement in the warehouse operations.
• Instils a high performance culture in the team with a focus on team work, service excellence and ownership for resolving customer issues.
• Participates in the proper selection of employees, ensuring that necessary and timely support is given to enable each team member to deliver the desired results.
• Monitors & tracks the effectiveness of the department & the service providers against of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving through change, as needed, to deliver continual service improvements
• Monitors performance of the Warehouse team by conducting regular performance reviews to provide improvement or sustain good performance.
• Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

B. Operations of In-House Warehouses

• Plans, directs, controls and manages all inbound and outbound activities of all concerned warehouses of the company for raw materials, packaging materials and store room items.
• Establishes policies and procedures in the warehouse operations that support OSH (Occupational Safety & Health) standards and Good Warehousing Practice (GWP).
• Monitors and analyses the actual movement of raw materials, packaging and store room items to efficiently manage and plan warehouses and operations.
• Ensures that pertinent parameters supporting GWP are in place and monitored regularly and necessary actions to improve these are taken.

C. Operations by Third-Party Warehouse Service Providers

• Maintains a strategic partnership with Third-Party Warehouse Service Providers making sure that goods are accounted & prepared accordingly to support product distribution in the most efficient and effective manner and that they deliver agreed service levels.
• Works continuously with service providers in developing strategies with particular focus on opportunities to grow and enhance the services offered.
• Ensures that Third-Party operated warehouses comply with GCI requirements (including Good Warehousing Practice & DOLE/Occupational Safety & Health).
• Reviews and evaluates performance of Third-Party warehouse service providers and recommends changes as needed.
• Participates in the selection process of the Third-Party Warehouse Service Providers.
• Ensures proper and timely replenishment of stocks in all Depot Warehouses.
• Works closely with Partner Site Personnel to ensure accuracy of inventory of warehouses.
• Visits Third-Party operated warehouses and ensures high customer service level.

Qualification

• BS Industrial Engineering graduate
• Experience : At least
  5 years supervisory experience
  in logistics or warehouse operations gained in a FMCG manufacturing company.
