Role Purpose

The Supplier Performance Management Consultant is critical to the success of

drop ship suppliers, acting as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal

teams while cultivating relationships with key decision-makers among our top

suppliers. This role ensures smooth operations by proactively anticipating issues,

developing corrective action plans, and leading the operational supplier

development strategy to resolve challenges.

Position Scope

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Supplier Performance Management:

  • Subject Matter Expert:
  • Provide expert operational guidance to suppliers, helping them optimise
  • their processes using T&W's various operational programs and automation
  • tools. This guidance supports suppliers in achieving higher efficiency and
  • reliability in their operations.
  • Strategic Performance Projects:
    Lead and execute strategic initiatives aimed
  • at improving supplier performance, such as targeted sprints focused on key
  • operational metrics like lead time, inventory compliance, manifesting errors
  • and incidents.
  • Supplier Liaison:
    Serves as the central point of contact for out top 50 drop
  • ship suppliers. Responsible for developing corrective action plans and
  • owning the operational supplier development strategy to proactively
  • address and resolve operational challenges.
  • Performance Outreach:
    Execute the Monthly Performance Outreach
  • program, focused on analysing the performance of the top 50 suppliers.
  • Prepare detailed and actionable reports on key operational metrics,
  • including fill rates, lead times, inventory compliance, manifesting errors and
  • incident rates. Share these insights with suppliers, providing tailored
  • recommendations for performance enhancement. Continuously follow up to
  • ensure the implementation of these recommendations, offering additional
  • support as needed.
  • Technology-Driven Efficiency:
    Utilise advanced technology and data analysis
  • to enhance supplier performance management. This includes automating
  • key processes and leveraging performance dashboards to provide real-time
  • insights, enabling the operations team to respond quickly to any emerging
  • issues and maintain optimal supplier performance.
  • Peak Preparation:
    Ensure our top suppliers are well prepared to handle peak
  • volumes during major sales event periods. This includes proactively guiding
  • them to make the required operational arrangements such as weekend
  • operations and staff planning, technical setups such as frequent inventory
  • feeds as well as logistics (in close collaboration with TCT).

Supplier Operations Weather Process:

  • Engage with suppliers regarding late orders from the previous day in case of
  • high late order counts, collaborating with them to resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee and optimise the weather outreach process, ensuring supplier
  • orders are up-to-date with minimal unactioned orders beyond 48 hours after
  • the MSBD.
  • Analyse supplier performance trends and provide actionable
  • recommendations to improve order management, particularly during peak
  • seasons.
  • Expand the weather process to include operational topics that requires
  • urgent action from the suppliers, in example SKUs that attract a high
  • number of incidences, poor reviews / NPS scores over a short period of time

Experience & qualifications

Required:

  • Relationship Management: Experience managing supplier and
  • internal relationships, including at executive level.
  • Problem-Solving: Experience in structured problem-solving and
  • making informed recommendations. Ideally with formal training and
  • practical experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Focused on data-driven
  • decision-making to address complex issues and optimise processes
  • confidentially using basic excel/google sheet analytics tools.
  • Strong skills in Excel / google sheets (intermediate to advanced) and
  • SQL skills (basic)
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work across business units and solve issues
