Job Title: Network Administrator

Reports To: MIS/IT Manager

Interface with: All Departments

Job Purpose

· The IT Network Administrator is responsible for CW Home Depot's network infrastructure. The network administrator also helps the MIS/IT Manager interact with internal clients on all levels to help resolve network-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner. He / She also is part building IT projects as the need arises.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all network related concerns
  • Ensures that WAN and LAN connections are up and stable 24/7
  • Communicates with IT Support regarding network issues
  • In-charge in planning the network topology
  • Monitors and updates Licenses and core devices updates (Firmware and OS)
  • Ensures Failover of network connectivity is available
  • Monitors Avaya systems and other Telephony systems
  • Answer IT supports queries
  • Performs IT Task assigned by IT manager
  • Configures Firewalls & Network Devices

Qualifications include:

· Degree Holder preferably Electronics and Communication Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or any IT related course

· Knowledgeable in network infrastructure administration

· Certified CCNA is a must

· Knowledge in IT Infrastructure best practices

· Avaya Telephony Knowledge

· Has 2-3 years experience in Network Administration
