Location: At Location Manila (1) and Taipei (1, speaking Mandarin is required)

Reports to: Head of Architecture / Director of Payments Engineering

Contract type: Project based, 4-6 Months

Role Overview

The IT Solution Architect / Technical Lead – Visa Flex Implementation is responsible for designing, implementing, and guiding the technical architecture for integrating Visa's Flex API (CyberSource tokenization) into the organization's payment platform. This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant payment flows, bridging business requirements with technical execution while providing leadership to development and integration teams.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
  • Design end-to-end architecture for Visa Flex API integration, including front-end tokenization, backend processing, and third-party payment services.
  • Create high-level and low-level architecture documents, data flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
Technical Leadership
  • Lead technical teams in the implementation of Visa Flex API integration.
  • Provide guidance on secure coding practices, API integration, and data encryption.
  • Conduct code and design reviews to ensure compliance with architecture standards and security requirements.
Integration & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Visa/CyberSource technical contacts for onboarding, integration, and certification.
  • Work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, and operations teams to deliver payment solutions.
  • Communicate complex payment and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Security, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all solutions comply with PCI DSS, Visa security requirements, and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement tokenization, key management, and encryption strategies for secure card data handling.
  • Participate in architecture review boards and enforce governance policies.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to optimize payment flows, reduce latency, and improve reliability.
  • Mentor team members in payment architectures, API integration, and security best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging payment technologies, tokenization standards, and Visa APIs.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical / Professional
  • 5+ years' experience in solution architecture or technical leadership within payments or fintech.

    - 2 years hands-on experience with Visa Flex API v2 (CyberSource) integration.
  • Deep understanding of payment processing flows, tokenization, PCI DSS, and 3-D Secure.
  • Expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of secure data handling, encryption standards (RSA, AES), and key management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical and business decisions.
  • Collaborative approach to delivering complex payment solutions.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications:

      - Visa Developer / CyberSource Integration Certification

      - Cloud Solution Architect (AWS, Azure, GCP)

      - TOGAF 9/10 Certified

      - PCI DSS Professional (PCIP) or equivalent security accreditation
