Job Description:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions that meet business needs while aligning with enterprise architecture standards. They evaluate platforms, define integration patterns, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and technically sound. The role collaborates closely with Enterprise Architects, TBAs, Developers, and Business Stakeholders to translate transformation requirements into executable technology designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture

• Translate business and functional requirements into high-level technical designs.
• Design solution blueprints for enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, BI, data pipelines, or workflow tools).
• Select appropriate tools, services, and architectural patterns based on current and target state environments.

Technical Governance & Alignment

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to assess trade-offs and maintain architectural integrity.
• Provide architectural guidance to TBAs, developers, and third-party vendors during delivery.

Integration & Data Flow Design

• Design system integrations and APIs, including data flow, interface specifications, and service orchestration.
• Ensure data consistency, quality, and lineage across systems.
• Partner with Data and DevOps teams to ensure that integration points are secure, reliable, and scalable.

Delivery Support & Oversight

• Guide solution implementation, perform technical reviews, and ensure development matches design intent.
• Support Agile delivery teams in breaking down architecture into stories and technical tasks.
• Resolve technical design issues and participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives.

Documentation & Communication

• Develop and maintain solution architecture diagrams, component models, and interface specifications.
• Communicate architecture decisions and rationales to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Deliverables

• Solution architecture blueprints and decision records
• Integration design documents (data flows, APIs, interface specs)
• Non-functional requirements (NFRs), technical constraints, and security design
• Platform evaluations and trade-off analyses (build vs buy, cloud vs on-prem, etc.)
• Technical alignment reports and fit-gap assessments

Experience & Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years in technology architecture, systems integration, or enterprise solution design
• Proven experience delivering solutions in complex, multi-system environments
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Lucidchart)
• Hands-on experience in designing APIs, web services, databases, and cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong background in either ERP, CRM, workflow automation, or analytics platforms preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, Azure Architect, or equivalent are a plus
