About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to design and drive the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure digital onboarding solutions across web and omnichannel experiences. This role demands deep technical acumen, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to orchestrate complex integrations across a diverse ecosystem of third-party services.

As a thought leader and technical advisor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, compliance, and client stakeholders, to deliver onboarding journeys that are frictionless, compliant, and optimized for customer trust and conversion.

What you'll be doing:

  • End-to-End Solution Design: Architect seamless onboarding experiences, including user journeys, service orchestration, data models, and integration patterns across digital channels.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Design and manage integrations with key vendor platforms across various onboarding functions:
  • Architecture Blueprinting: Create solution diagrams, sequence flows, and architecture artifacts for onboarding modules, including document uploads, verification, account selection, and funding workflows.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all architectural components meet enterprise security, scalability, privacy (PII), and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., KYC, AML, OFAC).
  • Reusable Patterns & Frameworks: Define and document reusable patterns such as IDV wrappers, dynamic workflow orchestration, webhook listeners, and modular service components.
  • Technical Oversight & Governance: Review implementation deliverables, provide architecture oversight, and mentor engineering teams on integration and architectural best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead technical workshops, align architecture with business needs, and translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.
  • Risk Management: Own architecture decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and proactively address technical risks or constraints in onboarding flows.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering and solution design experience
  • 4+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
  • Hands-on knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML), PII encryption, audit logging, and RBAC
  • Proven track record designing microservices and scalable integration-heavy systems
  • Architecture Tools:
  • Ability to produce architecture roadmaps, sequence diagrams, service contracts, and other technical artifacts

Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
