Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the company's financial data is properly recorded and organized. This role includes handling day-to-day accounting tasks such as recording financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The Bookkeeper also assists in preparing budgets, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and update all financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain general ledgers, journals, and other financial documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Support auditors and management with financial data when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Proficient in MS Excel and other office applications
