JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for proper processing of all loan transactions of Corporate Banking Group (including Remedial Management Department) and Branches. Monitors strict compliance to internal control measures and procedures as well as monitor and review individual status and performance of Corporate/Branch Loans Operations Department personnel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensures that the Section's objectives are in consonance with the Department's targets and are understood and appreciated by the personnel.
  • Monitors strict compliance to internal control policies as well as external regulations on transactions handled / processed to avoid sanctions / penalties especially by government/regulatory agencies.
  • Checks and ensures proper booking and processing of all Corporate Banking Group and Branch loans and other related transactions. Ensures that deviations or loan documentation deficiencies, if any, are properly approved, reported and subsequently followed up with parties concerned.
  • Performs override and approval of the special messages on the transactions of his/her respective loan processors.
  • Checks and signs Debit / Credit memos and Loan Disclosure Statements prepared by the loan processors covering corporate loans.
  • Checks the computation on the Statements of Account, Billing Statements and Certifications requested by Marketing Units or Legal Services Division.
  • Coordinates with other units on any problems arising from the transactions processed.
  • Ensures the accurate preparation and timely submission of reports to internal and external users.
  • Reviews Bank's Trial Balance to check for any significant movement and abnormal balances particularly those arising from corporate loans.
  • Signatory of all the Section's/Department's transactions as defined in the Bank's policies and guidelines.
  • In coordination with the Department Head, monitors and reviews personnel performance for possible movements, promotions and recommendations for HRMDD's action.
  • Assists the Department Head in setting and carrying out the objectives of the Department.
  • Implements cost control measures and proper housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Department Head and Loans Operations Division Head
