Job description
As a Retail Operations Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of the retail business, ensuring smooth daily operations, and driving exceptional in-store experiences. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability in the Retail Operations Department
· Monitor and manage all retail operational processes, including but not limited to inventory management, merchandising, manpower management, and in-store execution excellence.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a high level of operational excellence.
· Monitor the performance of key operational metrics, such as Share of Shelf, Share of Display, CSL. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize these metrics and achieve business objectives. Collaborate with sales team, cross-functional teams, store operations heads and marketing, to align strategies and ensure Share of Shelf, Share of Display, CSL are met.
· Attend Mancom and Weekly Meetings: Participate in Mancom meetings to assess the effectiveness of operational plans and drive continuous improvement.
· Attend weekly meetings, to discuss operational performance, sales targets, and strategic initiatives.
· Regularly communicate with the sales organization to provide updates and insights on retail operations-related activities. Share information regarding distribution, visibility initiatives, and any changes in-store activities. Collaborate with the sales team to align operational strategies and goals, ensuring a cohesive approach towards achieving business objectives.
· Help monitor bundling activities to ensure accuracy, proper pricing, and compliance with promotional guidelines.
· Help over-see in-store activities, such as customer events, product sampling, or store-openings, to ensure smooth execution and adherence to brand standards.
· Timely Liquidation of Running Programs:
a. Coordinate and oversee the timely liquidation of all running programs.
b. Work closely with ROICs to ensure proper execution of program liquidation, including accurate recording of sales, inventory, and promotions.
c. Monitor and track the progress of program liquidation, identifying any delays or issues and implementing corrective actions.
· Follow-through of Executions
a. Ensure that all program executions, such as promotional activities, merchandising changes, and display installations, are recorded and tracked,
b. Collaborate with ROICs to verify and validate execution details, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
c. Analyze execution data to assess compliance, identify trends, and provide insights for improvement.
· Quality and Compliant Proof of Performance (POPs):
a. Establish and enforce standards for Proof of Performance (POPs) in accordance with program requirements.
b. Work closely with ROICs to ensure that all POPs are of high quality, compliant with program guidelines, and submitted within the designated timelines.
c. Conduct regular audits and inspections of POPs to maintain quality assurance.
