Position Title: SMSF Accountant

Schedule:  9:00AM-5:30PM (QLD time) / 7:00AM-3:30PM (PH time)

Holiday to follow: QLD-Gold Coast Holidays

Workdays: Mon - Fri

Work Set-up: Work From Home or office.

Work Details: Full-time

As an a SMSF Accountant:

· Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, or similar discipline is strongly preferred.

· Previous experience in a Self Managed Superfund (SMSF) role within the Australian context is essential.

· At least 3-5 years Proven experience for SMSF.

· Proficiency in BGL 365 is a must, ensuring smooth management of SMSFs.

· Basic knowledge and understanding of the superannuation industry supervision (SIS) Act is required.

· Familiarity with FYI and Xero tax software is desirable, although not mandatory.

· A genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and building lasting client relationships.

· Possess the drive to provide clients with an exceptionally high level of advice and care.

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

· Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.

· Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Your Responsibilities as a SMSF Accountant:

· Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation funds.

· Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and

individuals.

· The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

· Ownership qualities and the ability to successfully manage workflow.

· Proactive attitude, self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

· Reviewing taxation notices and preparing correspondence to clients.

· Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.

· Preparing detailed working paper files including investment, income, and CGT reconciliations.

· Processing transactions for Trustees, benefits transfers, contributions, and benefits payments on

behalf of clients.

· Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines.

· Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations.
