Hi We're Smartsourcing, and we're looking for a full-time, on-site Data Analyst to join our team In this role, you'll manage large databases, validate data quality, analyze complex datasets, and report insights that drive smarter decisions. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Data Scientist will be responsible for (1) managing large numbers of databases, (2) engaging in the administration of ongoing data quality validation and root-cause analysis, (3) collecting, collating and carrying out complex data analysis in support of management and customer requests and (4) working in reporting statistical findings to colleagues and senior managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manipulating, cleansing and processing data using software including excel, Microsoft Access and PowerBI

• Analyzing raw data, drawing conclusions & developing recommendations

• Writing SQL scripts to manipulate data for data loads and extracts

• Developing and/or updating stored procedures and ETL

• Designing/developing and updating PowerBI reports

• Maintaining version control and refresh schedules of Power BI reports

• Auditing, creating data reports and monitoring all data for accuracy

• Designing, developing and implementing new functionality

• Monitoring the automated loading processes

• Advising on the suitability of methodologies and suggesting improvements

• Carrying out specific data processing and statistical techniques

• Supplying qualitative and quantitative data to colleagues and clients

The Data Scientist will help improve the business products and contribute to:

• Business decisions by making the most of the business and clients' data.
• Technical solution/data architecture decisions to build compliant and secure systems for scale

ABOUT YOUKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

(Includes technical knowledge, qualifications, legislation, regulations etc)

• Proven experience building and maintaining Power BI reports
• Proven experience writing and maintaining SQL ETL scripts
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
• Knowledge of data management and visualisation techniques
• Experience with SQL databases
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar field

Nice to have

• Exposure to statistical analysis and predictive modeling
• Good knowledge of R, Python and MATLAB
• Understanding of machine learning
