
Compliance and Permits Specialist

Job Summary:
The Compliance and Permits Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all government regulations, permits, licenses, and legal requirements related to construction and real estate projects. This role involves coordinating with government agencies, monitoring regulatory changes, and ensuring timely acquisition and renewal of necessary permits to support business operations and project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and industry regulations related to construction, real estate development, and business operations.
- Process and secure permits, licenses, and clearances from government agencies (required for construction and real estate projects.
- Monitor and track expiration dates of permits and licenses, ensuring timely renewals to avoid penalties or project delays.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, government offices, and external stakeholders to address compliance-related requirements.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective measures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for compliance audits and inspections.
- Stay updated on new laws, policies, and regulations affecting the construction and real estate industry.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in compliance, permits, or regulatory affairs within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of government permitting processes, regulatory agencies, and industry requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in dealing with government offices and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple compliance requirements simultaneously.
