Duties and Responsibilities of a Licensed Credit Appraiser
- Conduct thorough inspections and physical evaluations of properties or collateral offered to the bank for loan applications, foreclosure, or sale purposes.
- Analyze current market conditions, comparable sales, property values, and local economic factors to determine accurate and fair market value estimates.
- Prepare detailed and well-documented appraisal reports that include valuation methodologies, findings, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Ensure all appraisals comply with local regulatory requirements, banking policies, and professional ethics.
- Collaborate with credit officers and other relevant bank departments by providing expert advice on collateral values and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of appraisal activities, inspection logs, and valuation reports for audit and internal review.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, zoning laws, property tax data, and market developments that may affect property values.
- Use appraisal software and databases to support accurate data analysis and efficient report generation.
- Communicate appraisal findings effectively to stakeholders, including clients, credit teams, and supervisors.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies or disputes related to property valuations through clear and objective evidence.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to stay current on appraisal standards and practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management, Business, Commerce, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- Licensed Real Estate Appraiser certification or license is highly preferred or an advantage.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Credit Investigator or Appraiser in a banking institution or appraisal firm.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to systematically evaluate property values and creditworthiness of loan applicants.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively prepare appraisal reports and coordinate with different stakeholders.
- Proficient in using appraisal software and databases; good record-keeping and reporting capability.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills to meet report submission deadlines.
- Knowledge of applicable local regulations, banking policies, and ethical standards in property appraisal.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php19,000.00 per month
