GENERAL JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Loans and Investment Officer is a critical position within the financial services department, responsible for managing the company's loan portfolio and identifying investment opportunities to maximize financial returns.

EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES

  • Bachelor's degree Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on loans and investments

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loan Portfolio Management

  • Evaluate loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and determine lending terms and conditions
  • Monitor existing loans, including tracking repayments, reviewing loan covenants, and managing delinquencies
  • Collaborate with clients to address inquiries, concerns, and renegotiations

Investment Analysis

  • Identify potential investment opportunities, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and other financial instruments
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including risk assessment, to make informed investment decisions
  • Monitor investment performance and adjust strategies as necessary

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • Assess the risks associated with loans and investments and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact the portfolio

Compliance and Legal

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legal requirements
  • Stay updated on financial laws and regulations that affect lending and investments
