Job Summary:

The Horticulturist / Account Officer is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of landscaping and plant-related projects for clients, while also handling client accounts, billing coordination, and business relationship management. This role combines technical expertise in horticulture with administrative and client service responsibilities to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities: A. Horticulture and Landscaping Functions:

  • Plan, develop, and maintain landscaping and gardening projects for clients and company-managed properties.
  • Select appropriate plants, trees, and other materials based on soil conditions, location, and aesthetics.
  • Supervise gardening and maintenance personnel to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess plant health, pest control needs, and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on plant care, fertilizer application, and landscaping improvements.
  • Coordinate procurement of gardening tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in all horticultural activities.

B. Account Management and Administrative Functions:

  • Serve as the primary contact person for assigned client accounts.
  • Prepare job costing, quotations, and proposals for landscaping and maintenance services.
  • Assist coordinating billing schedules, payments, and follow up on collections from clients.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of client contracts and transactions.
  • Prepare reports on account status, project progress, and client satisfaction.
  • Handle client inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work with the operations and finance departments to ensure smooth implementation and billing of services.

C. Coordination and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Human Resources to align manpower and project needs.
  • Provide periodic updates and reports to management regarding both horticultural projects and account activities.
  • Assist in developing marketing or promotional activities related to landscaping services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in horticulture, landscaping, or client account management.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of plant care, landscape design, and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise field staff and coordinate multiple projects.

Working Conditions:

  • Fieldwork and site visits are required.
  • May involve occasional weekend or holiday work depending on client schedules and project timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
