Job Title: Junior Bookkeeper (Remote – Philippines)

Employment Type: Contract (Part-Time, Temp to hire)

Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, flexible

Pay: ₱6,000–₱8,000 per month (paid biweekly)

About Us

Savvy Accounting Biz is a U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm that helps construction businesses manage their cash flow, systems, and financial growth. We're looking for a junior bookkeeper for part-time work with the possibility of ongoing part-time work based on performance and business needs.

You will be helping us with our internal books.

College graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
  • Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Organize receipts and maintain supporting documentation
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Communicate progress and updates daily in ClickUp
  • Other related tasks as assigned
  • Attend team and 1-1 calls in US time zone as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • 1 year of bookkeeping experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Reliable internet connection and personal computer
  • Professional communication skills
  • If you are not QuickBooks Certified, you will be required to get certified

Interview process

Because the role has the potential to convert into full-time, the interview process will be the same as it would be for a full-time employee.

  • You will first apply here on Indeed
  • Then you will be required to complete a short bookkeeping test
  • Next you will send a short video answering 5 simple questions
  • Finally, you will have a Zoom conversation with your direct manager

Note

This is a remote, independent-contractor role for candidates located in the Philippines only. Equipment is not provided. Once the candidate transitions to a permanent role, equipment will be sent and company benefits will apply.
