Key responsibilities

  • Installation: Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, DVRs/NVRs, and other related equipment.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting: Conduct regular maintenance checks, diagnose and repair system faults, and perform necessary upgrades.
  • System design: Perform site surveys to assess security needs and determine optimal camera placement for effective surveillance.
  • Networking: Connect, test, and terminate various types of cables, and configure networks for IP-based systems.
  • Technical support: Provide technical support and training to clients on how to use and maintain the CCTV systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, maintenance activities, and system changes.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge of cameras, DVRs, alarm systems, and associated hardware.
  • Experience with IT networking principles, network configuration, and cabling (coaxial, fiber, copper).
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs effectively.
  • Familiarity with both analog and IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Understanding of security standards, protocols, and compliance.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for client consultation and technical support.
